Situated in the Chandrapur district in Maharashtra, Tadoba-andhari Tiger Reserve is the pristine and unique eco-system and consists of two declared regions, viz., Tadoba National park and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary.

Endowed with rich biodiversity, this oldest national park in the sate is home to a large number of species that include tiger, leopard, sloth bear, gaur or Indian Bison, rusty spotted cat, rattle, Indian mouse deer, spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, four horned antelope, wild dog and flying squirrel. The lavish bounds of Tadoba-andhari Tiger Reserve provide natural habitat to a rich variety of flora that include teak, ain, bija, dhauda, haldu, salai, semal, tendu and bamboo.

Fauna 
Located in the heart of a reserved forest, Tadoba-andhari Tiger reserve is an infinite treasure trove of innumerable species of wildlife. Apart from tigers, the large herds of chital and the stately samber are often seen in the forest. Other attractions include the elusive barking Deer, the fleet footed chausinga. The majestic Gaur, the robust nilgai, the shy sloth bear, the whistling wild dogs, the omnipresent wild boar and stealthy leopard etc, can also be seen. As the night falls the small Indian civet, the palm civet, the rattle, the flying squirrel make their presence felt. In the backdrop of the famous Ram Degi Temple, the Nature is as its best at Tadoba.

Flora
Tadoba-andhari Tiger reserve was created in 1995. The area of the reserve is 625.40 sq. km. This includes Tadoba National Park, created in 1955 with an area of 116.55 sq km and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary created in 1986 with an area of 508.85 sq km.

Main floral species are teak, ain, bija, dhauda, haldu, salai, semal, tendu and bamboo.
