Endowed with nature’s munificence, the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is wedged between the highly industrialised cities of Mumbai, Surat and Vapi. From 1779 to 1954, the land was administered by the Portuguese colonialists and later, after its liberation, by a local administration until 1961 when it merged with the Indian Union.

The Tribal Museum at Silvassa is an attempt to preserve and portray the rich heritage of tribal culture and civilization in its pristine form. The exhibits on display here are their ornaments, musical instruments, fishing and hunting gadgets, agricultural and house hold articles, and several other artefacts of the tribal people who predominantly inhabit the U.T., of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The museum is a draw card for the tourists willing to have a glimpse of the indigenous people and their culture at one place.
Popular with children the park is replete with swings, seesaws and merry-go-rounds. It also houses a mini-zoo with crocodiles, pythons and an aquarium of tropical fish.
Water Sports Centre, Dudhani (40 km)
With the commissioning of Madhuban Dam on the downstream side of river Damanganga, a large water front has formed near Dudhani. For adventure loving tourists, the department provide water scooters, acquabikes, bumper boats, speed boats, kayaks, canoes and passenger boats at the Water Sports Centre.

Vanganga Garden (10 Km)
A beautiful lake Garden Vanganga is located at the entrance of the U.T. of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and this beautiful garden at Dadra is created in Japanese style. The major attraction are its water spread framed with tree line, boats, fountains, restaurants and jogging track. Paddleboats are available in the lake and different species of fish have been introduced to popularise angling. Attracting thousands of visitors, the garden is very popular with filmmakers and many film songs have been picturised here.
Tadkeshwara Temple, Brindaban (18 Km)
The place is famous for an old Shiva temple situated on the banks of the river Sakartod.
